Main Purpose of the Role
• Identify business opportunities in new and existing markets across internal and external clients. Furthermore, the successful person will be responsible for finding ways to exploit these markets, bringing in revenue, engaging in strategic analysis, marketing, sales and product development into prioritizing the opportunities that are the most likely to generate a profit.

Key Responsibilities:
(The primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role)
• Identify, generate and implement new business opportunities on an ongoing basis in order to achieve predetermined targets, actively promoting up-selling possibilities to own portfolio of clients
• Business and commercial model implementation
• Work with and contribute to Supply Chain team on product development, to keep aligned with market trends
• Intelligence gathering on customers and competitors
• Formal proposal, presentation management and negotiating commercials
• Provide professional and exceptional client service in all interactions with clients
• Implement and co-ordinate client related project plans
• Proactively and timeously identify and resolve issues, addressing problems and opportunities central to business success
• Manage and coordinate relationships and Service Level Agreements with clients
• Embed and sustain the organisation’s culture and values in the profit centres
• Prepare relevant reports to management as required and keep all administrative work updated
• Perform trend analyses and interpretations and utilize business intelligence effectively so as to optimize business opportunities regarding availability, footprint and visibility
• Lead and manage a team as required

Requirements
• Qualification: Business related post graduate qualification, B. Com (Hons) Logistics
• Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior business management position
Prior marketing or sales development experience would be an advantage
